She was a wonderful person. She was my big sister. Missing her is the hardest thing that I ever had to do, loving her is the easiest. Her family and friends miss her so much. She leaves behind two wonderful daughters. I was on the phone with her that unforgettable day. I heard the screams and fear in her voice. I will never forget those sounds for as long as I have my memory. She will live inside me. Rest in peace my dear trusted friend and big sister.
Rina Rabinowitz, sister

Carl was a beautiful person inside and out. He loved his family deeply and as such they loved him even more in return. He got married on September 30, 2000 and as the night was being danced away he turned to me and said "I wish this night would never end - I am so happy right now". That was the beginning of a match made in heaven between himself and my cousin, Michele. Michele is also an extraordinary person and therefore the two made "quite the match". Well, at least his widow was blessed with being given the 6 or so years that she spent with Carl and in the end she was there as "HIS WIFE AND LOVING PARTNER FOR ETERNITY".
Linda Cruz, cousin

Paul Battaglia was a true "Man for Others." Although Paul was only 23-years-old on that fateful day, he had already managed to positively impact the lives of so many of those who knew him. Even now, Paul continues to touch the lives of people he never had the chance to meet. The most touching tribute to Paul can be found on his Web site, where hundreds of family, friends and people who never even met Paul have written about the impact he has had on all of our lives.
