There beside a grave she stands a folded flag clutched in her hands. A silent teardrop on her face,

her brave young child has entered grace. She does

not hear the sermon said, just memories run through her head. The child she held so long ago, the child with faith she let go. The child who heard the nation's call, and in the end gave it all, without fear or thoughts of self, thoughts of Freedom and little else. The bugle plays TAPS in the wind, a mournful song it does send. A reminder to us all, that for Freedom this price was paid, and her sweet young to rest was laid.

The Sailor Poem....I was that which others did not want to be. I went where others failed to go, and did what others failed to do. I asked nothing from those who gave nothing, and reluctantly accepted the thought of eternal loneliness....should I fail. I have seen the face of terror; felt the stinging cold of fear; and enjoyed the sweet taste of a moments love. I have cried, pained, and hoped....but most of all, I have lived times others would say were best forgotten. At least someday I will be able to say that I was proud of what I was....A Sailor.

Think of me as one at rest, for me you should not weep. I have no cares, no troubled thoughts, for now I am asleep.--The living breathing me that was, is now forever still, and time goes on without me as time forever will.--Those of you who liked me, I sincerely thank you all, and those of you who loved me, I thank most of all.--It matters not if time began or if time will ever cease. I was here, I used it all and now I am at peace.

Beautiful memories are wonderful things, they last till the longest day, they never wear out, never get lost, and can never be given away. To some you may be forgotten, to others part of the past, but to those who loved you your memory will always last.

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks ?--The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.--The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.--When the storms of life come upon us--and all of us will experience them--we can rise above them by setting our minds and our beliefs toward GOd. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow GOD'S power to lift us above them.

Your Garden.--After a while you learn the difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul. And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't always mean security.--And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises. And you begin to accept defects with your head up and your eyes ahead, with the strength of a man not the grief of a child.

--And you learn to build all of your roads on today because tomorrows ground is too uncertain for plans. And futures have a way of falling down in midflight. And after awhile you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much. so plant your garden and decorate your soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.--And you learn that you can endure, that you are really strong. And you really do have worth. and you learn and you learn, with every goodbye, you learn.

Rainbows would never be rainbows if sunshine had never met rain. No one would ever need comfort if there was no sadness and pain. But life holds both sunshine and showers. The days aren't all bright and fair. So look through the showers for the rainbows, you'll always find hope shining there.

The tide recedes but leaves bright seashells on the sand, the sun goes down but the gentle warmth still lingers on the land. The music stops & yet it echoes on in sweet refrains....for every joy that passes, something beautiful remains.~~Cora Meyer

Jeff was my shipmate, my friend and one damn fine Submariner. The Submarine Force and Nuclear Navy is not as strong today as it was with him in it. His legacy will go on however, though all the men he trained and served with, including myself, whom will use the example he gave us to safely and effectively operate our panels. He will truly be missed.

Adam D. Jones

Happy Birthday, Adam. You are missed so much every minute of everyday! XOXO ~143~ You will forever be in my heart and on my mind. Love always, Tammy

Laurie Cobb

She was my 3rd and 5th grade teacher. Today I'm 32 and still think about her. She was the best teacher ever. From her hair children stories to her bubbly happiness and kindness she spread. I'll never forget her. She was the teacher who had lunch with the kids in her classroom so everyone had someone to be with. She made my school experience amazing. I will never forget her.. I love you Mrs. Cobb. Sincerely, Forever in my thoughts, Alyssa (Viau) Capone

Larry E Polley Jr

SPC Polley died almost two decades ago so I don't know if this message will be seen. In honor of Memorial Day, my agency hands out cards with names of those who have fallen. This year, 2023, I received the card for SPC Polley and was inspired to look up more on him. I am thankful for his service and sacrifice. My condolences to his family. He is not forgotten.

Paul C. Holter III

Alex D Gonzalez

Love you and miss you always. Since you been gone it has been hard for everyone. I know you loved what you did, and I want to thank you for our freedom. If I can have you back home and safe living your life man everything would be different. No matter how much money they would offer me I would rather have you alive and home. Money comes and go so it's not worth losing you.

Chris was a strong minded person and looked out for other. He was kind and friendly the he made friends with everyone. Chris was truly a great man! I sincerely apologize for not sharing sooner. but would like to express that Chris's memory will never be forgotten! though he is not with us he will always be in spirit! If this message gets to Christopher's mother I she could know she raised a great man and for that I thank you.

James David Parker

I knew James David Parker as "Dave" when he lived in Solon Ohio. We met when I moved into town from out of state. He and his group of friends were a year or two older than me. Dave was a bright beacon of hope and joy to me. I was an unsure young man in a strange place. Dave introduced me to many people and ensured his friends always saved me a seat in the lunchroom. I have fond memories of him and his friends during that time. I doubt so many people would have been as wonderful toward me without Dave's incredible kindness. I've never forgotten his kindness. I hope to be able to pay it forward someday.

Tyler O. Griffin
