Mike Matsushita
The quietly spoken 37-year-old was brought up in America by a family of Vietnamese refugees. Mr Matsushita left his bank job in New York after 9/11 to live in London. He started working this week as a tour guide and lives with his British girlfriend, Rosie Cowan, in Islington |

It isn’t often you have the opportunity to be able to meet someone who has one of the most positive outlooks on everything and all. Who takes you for not what you are but who you are – everything and all. He was taken from all of us (family and friends) too quickly. He was the only person I have known that lived and experienced more of life than the people that are here today. My heart hurts and my eyes water. I am sad that I never got that one more time with him and I will always treasure the time we had.
There are places I'll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all
My Brother – I will miss you.

When I learned that he was American and may have been in the explosions I began to pray hoping that he would be found alive. It is so sad that he moved to London after 9/11 to only become a victim there. I am praying for Mike and his family's ability to be strong through this heart wrenching tragedy.
