I was sitting here in Heaven and having a wonderful day. I started thinking about you and all the things I din't get a chance to say. I don't want you to worry about me and please don't shed any tears, because I'll wait for you in Heaven if it takes a hundred years. Everything I had on Earth I have in Heaven too ! My first day here my body became brand new. It is pretty here and I love my new home, although your heart is broken because my body is gone, my love will always be there as you go along the way, just take a peek inside your heart, there is where I'll stay. Know that I loved my family and all my friends too, my thoughts will be with each of you your whole life through.

GOD'S loving arms enfolded you, with tender loving care, He saw you were suffering as you laid there, He said the time has come for you to take a rest, He held you in His arms and said, " I ONLY TAKE THE BEST !!! "

If kisses were raindrops, I'd send you showers. If hugs were seconds, I'd send you hours. If smiles were water, I'd send you the sea. If love were a person, I'd send you me. I know you are waiting at the end of the rainbow.

The beginning is always scary, the end is usually sad, but, it is what is in the middle that counts.

A saying that sticks in my head : " Grief is the price you pay for LOVE." You do not grieve for the loss of someone you do not love.

Friendship is a priceless gift, that cannot be bought or sold, but its value is far greater than a mountain made of gold, so when you ask GOD for a gift be thankful if He ends not diamonds, pearls or riches but the love of real, true friends.

There's a pain beyond imagining that's burning in our heart for suddenly our world has been cruelly ripped apart. The only source of comfort are our memories & love & they will shine forever like the brightest stars above, but....your loving smile will always be tucked in our hearts with love. Watch over us from Heaven & help us through the pain. We will always love and miss you until we meet again.--John you were such a kind and loyal friend. You will be missed by so many people. You are irreplaceable.-- Friends from Ft. Campbell Army Base.

My Dearest Family and Friends if you must weep then weep not long. In memory keep my love strong. But, please remember one thing just I have but gone, which we all must. And though my leaving may cause pain, my joy is greater that you remain.

John this is so painful to do, words cannot express the loss of such a special person as you. You were always there to listen and guide us. Your kindness always shone through, your warmth so strong. Your little smile that meant so much, your heart that gave so much too. We will love you John now and forever. Yes, you were loved by so many of us. You were like a brother. Rest in Peace.--101st

Airborne, Ft. Campbell, Ky.

It's me your Angel just checking in with you. I know you're sad because I'm gone and I'm sad too.

--It's beautiful here, wherever I am, there's such a lovely view. But mostly when I'm sitting here I'm looking down on you.--I see all of your feelings, everyday when I look down . I love to see you smile and I know sometimes you frown.--But guess what? I have a job to do. GOD saved it for me. I get to watch over you and protect you from the world.--So though you cannot see me and I know it's hard on you, you'll surely see the benefits of the job GOD has me do.

Memories. Within my book of memories are special thoughts of you, and all the nice things you often say and do.--As I turn the pages, and recall each single thought, I realize the happiness that knowing you has brought.--There are memories of the times we've shared both bright and sunny days. There are memories of your kindness and friendly thoughtful ways.--And when I recall there memories as I go along life's way, I find that they grow more precious still with every passing day.

Memory Box. There is a place in our hearts with your name etched deep. A sweet special place where our memories we keep. We lock it up tightly at the end of each day, hold them securely and put them away.

A Pocketful fo Sympathy...A pocketful of Sympathy is really rather wonderful to stop a scratch from stinging or a bruise from blacking and bluing.--A pocketful of sympathy can stop a heart from hurting or catch a tear that's falling like a raindrop on a cheek.--A pocketful of sympathy costs absolutely nothing, it's the cheapest kind of plaster you'll ever find.--And a pocketful of sympathy is like John's love and kindness, because the more you give it away the more you leave it behind.

Blue C. Rowe

I am the Chaplain, along with 1SG Obalabi, who made this notification. This was my fifth death notification in 2009. I remembered this one like it was yesterday, and I routinely think about 1SG Rowe’s wife and their son, who was seven at the time. This notification stands out to me because we had to come back to the house a few times because no one was home. We finally saw a light on around 2130, and I and 1SG O went to the door and knocked. 1SG Rowe’s wife answered the door, and it was clear that his wife was not registering why we were there. She did invite us, and we sat down at the table, and ISG O made the notification. 1SG Rowe’s wife said, "Are you sure?" She asked that question five times, and I finally said, " Ma’am, we would not be here if we were not sure. Her response to us was, I just spoke to him a couple of days ago, and he was supposed to come home next week. She immediately got up from the table, called her dad, and notified him. She collapsed to the floor and was crying. The 1SG and I just stood there. We were there for a while, and I remembered that when she asked me to pray, I had to pause a few times to keep from losing it. Cindy, I thought about your husband through the years, and I often wondered how you and your son are doing. I have often prayed for you and your family. And I thank your husband for his sacrifice to our country. I do hope you see this, and I will continue to pray for you and your family. God Bless You Chaplain Will Strong Jr. US Army Retired Romans 8:37

Phil worked for me when he volunteered to deploy to Iraq with the Joint Contracting Command. He was a great officer, a great friend and an incredible husband/father. He was just a couple of days away from returning from his deployment. I received an email from him on 5 April requesting to stay a bit longer so he could finish the job started. I had not yet responded to his email when I was notified by our Commanding Office on Easter morning that Phil had been killed. Miss you Phil!

David A Wilkey Jr

A good young man. My son's best friend.

Jose Ricardo Flores-Mejia

It's been 20 years since your passing... However, I never forgotten the day you told me I am married, I am going to have a baby, and day your son was born... You touched some many lives in different ways in your brief time on this earth in ways others can't imagine... Some people can be given a life time on this earth and accomplish nothing, and there are some people who are given a short time and accomplish so much... You Mr. Flores-Mejia aka Ricky was that person and soldier who accomplish so much in your shoft tme... As I see the days pass by, and the war seems to be a distant memory, your memory is still alive in my life, and still on this and like other days with my grandchildren I sit back like we did many times and listen to those West Coast oldies... "Never Forgotten"

Frank E. Adamski III

To the family of Frank Adamski, including his wife and daughter, my sincere condolences. I plan to make sure he is never forgotten.
