Having you not with us hurts more and more each day. Although we feel a closeness to you in a very special way. Even as we go to sleep, every thought is of you. And we never thought we'd miss you in quite the way we do. So I'm hoping that these words may some how let you know that you're in our hearts forever and we'll always love you so.

The one and only thing that helps us with the pain is dreaming of the time when we will see you again.

A Guardian Angel flew down from above, to teach us a lesson about the powers of love.--He whispers to me, take a hold of my hand, there are so many things I wish you understand.--About the powers of love, and all it can do, to someone who needs to share it with you.--A pat on the back, a kind smile on your face, can make someone's life, a much brighter place.--It doesn't take much to show someone you care, to give them the love, GOD gave you to share.--So please keep in mind, all the powers you possess, to grace someone's life when they're in distress.--You've been put on this to bestow the powers of love, and with these final words, he disappeared up above.--Take care John for you are a most wonderful Guardian Angel.

Something to think about....Name the five wealthiest people in the world. Name the last five Heismann Trophy Winners. Name the last five winners of the Miss America Contest. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize. How did you do ? The point is, none of us remember the headlines of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But applause dies, awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accelades and certificates are buried with their owners. Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one: List a few teachers who aided your journey in school. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time. Name five people who have taught you something special and worthwhile. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special. Name a half-dozen heroes who have inspired you. Easier ? The lesson ? The people who make a difference in you life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or most awards. They are the ones who care. John you were a very important person in some many of our lives because you truly cared about others.--101st Airborne Ft. Campbell, Ky.--You will be missed so very much.--We will see you again one day my friend.--Love Nikki and Chloe.

I can't comprehend just how sad you must feel. For the loss of someone you love. This sorrowful time must still feel unreal. I wish you strength from above. I hope with my heart, that your pain will decrease, that your spirit will gain strength again. And I pray your faith will create inner peace and that GOD will send His blessings.

Now that you are gone our hearts are breaking. Your spirit lives on but it doesn't stop the aching.--

Such a beautiful smile that would light up the sky. You knew a lot of people and you touched their lives.--We know you are watching over us, smiling as you do. But, we need you here with us because we miss you.--But, now we have to stay strong and carry on.--We will see you soon. I'm sure you'll be standing there arms open wide, waiting at Heaven's Door.--Margaret and Bill

It will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. And although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help push away the pain and bring the smiles back again.

Blue C. Rowe

I am the Chaplain, along with 1SG Obalabi, who made this notification. This was my fifth death notification in 2009. I remembered this one like it was yesterday, and I routinely think about 1SG Rowe’s wife and their son, who was seven at the time. This notification stands out to me because we had to come back to the house a few times because no one was home. We finally saw a light on around 2130, and I and 1SG O went to the door and knocked. 1SG Rowe’s wife answered the door, and it was clear that his wife was not registering why we were there. She did invite us, and we sat down at the table, and ISG O made the notification. 1SG Rowe’s wife said, "Are you sure?" She asked that question five times, and I finally said, " Ma’am, we would not be here if we were not sure. Her response to us was, I just spoke to him a couple of days ago, and he was supposed to come home next week. She immediately got up from the table, called her dad, and notified him. She collapsed to the floor and was crying. The 1SG and I just stood there. We were there for a while, and I remembered that when she asked me to pray, I had to pause a few times to keep from losing it. Cindy, I thought about your husband through the years, and I often wondered how you and your son are doing. I have often prayed for you and your family. And I thank your husband for his sacrifice to our country. I do hope you see this, and I will continue to pray for you and your family. God Bless You Chaplain Will Strong Jr. US Army Retired Romans 8:37

Jose L. Montenegro Jr

Philip A. Murphy-Sweet

Phil worked for me when he volunteered to deploy to Iraq with the Joint Contracting Command. He was a great officer, a great friend and an incredible husband/father. He was just a couple of days away from returning from his deployment. I received an email from him on 5 April requesting to stay a bit longer so he could finish the job started. I had not yet responded to his email when I was notified by our Commanding Office on Easter morning that Phil had been killed. Miss you Phil!

David A Wilkey Jr

A good young man. My son's best friend.

Jose Ricardo Flores-Mejia

It's been 20 years since your passing... However, I never forgotten the day you told me I am married, I am going to have a baby, and day your son was born... You touched some many lives in different ways in your brief time on this earth in ways others can't imagine... Some people can be given a life time on this earth and accomplish nothing, and there are some people who are given a short time and accomplish so much... You Mr. Flores-Mejia aka Ricky was that person and soldier who accomplish so much in your shoft tme... As I see the days pass by, and the war seems to be a distant memory, your memory is still alive in my life, and still on this and like other days with my grandchildren I sit back like we did many times and listen to those West Coast oldies... "Never Forgotten"

Frank E. Adamski III

To the family of Frank Adamski, including his wife and daughter, my sincere condolences. I plan to make sure he is never forgotten.
