Prayers & Condolences For:
David L McDowell

Submitted in David's memory with his beloved family in mind.~~My Dearest Loved One, I receieved your letter from Heaven, it made the teardrops fall. But, knowing that you are with GOD above, sweet memories I will recall.~~I know that you are with me, for I feel your presence near. And if I listen closely, your voice I then can hear.~~I know that you're watching over me, as you promised you would do. And, when I feel so saddened, it's your letter that sees me through.~~When I lay in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight, I truly feel your presence, like a warm and glowing light.~~The rocky roads you mentioned, and the hills I must climb; I've done exactly what you said, by taking one day at a time.

~~I've tried to help others, who are in sorrow and pain. And now I am contented my day was not in vain.~~I'll lend a hand. as you have said, when someone is feeling low. I'll pray for them and be here, 'till on their way they go.~~And when it's time for me to go, to join you in Heaven high, my wings I shall spread wide, to my home up in the sky.~~Jan Kinley-Hardin, Louisville, Ky.

Memories.~~ Within my book of memories, are special thoughts of you, and all the nice things you often say and do.~~As I turn the pages, and recall each single thought, I realize the happiness that knowing you has brought.~~There are memories of times we've shared both bright and sunny days. There are thoughts of your kindness and your friendly thoughtful ways.~~And when I recall these memories as I go along life's way, I find they grow more precious still with every passing day.~~Thank you for being such a good friend to the 2nd Battalion.~~You will not be forgotten ever.~~Sleep well .~~

Still missing you. ~~They say there is a reason. They say time will heal. But neither time nor reason, will change the way we feel.~~For no one knows the heartache that lies beyond our smiles, no one knows how many times we have broken down and cried.~~We want to tell you something so there is no doubt, you're so wonderful to think of, but so hard to be without. we cannot bring the old days back, when we were together. The family chain is broken now, but memories live forever.~~

Your Army Family~~Yes, we all thought of you as one in our very large family.

A Guardian Angel flew down from above, to teach me a lesson about the powers of love. He whispers to me, take a hold of my hand, there are so many things I wish you to understand about the powers of love, and all it can do to someone who needs to share it with you. A pat on the back, a kind smile on your face, can make someone's life a much brighter place. It doesn't take much to show someone you care, to give them the love GOD gave them to share. So please keep in mind, all the powers you possess, to grace someone's life when they're is distress. You've been put on Earth to bestow the powers of love, and with those final words, Dave disappeared up above.

A friend ....Accepts you for who you are. Believes in you. Calls just to say "Hi". Doesn't give up on you. Envisions the whole you, even the unfinished parts. Forgives your mistakes. Gives unconditionally. Helps you. Just "be" with you. Keeps you close at heart. Loves you for who you are. Makes a difference in your life. Never judges. Offers support. Picks you up. Quiets your fears. Raises your spirit. Says nice things about you. Tells you the truth when you need to hear it. Understands you. Values you. Xplains things you don't understand. Yells when you won't listen. Zaps you back to reality.~~You will be truly missed my friend.~~

Remember, spend time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person will grow up and leave your side. Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent. Remember, to say " I LOVE YOU " to your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you. Remember, to hold hands and cherish moments, for some day, that person will not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak, give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.~~As long as you do these things you will always be loved and remembered as much David will be in the hearts of the lives he touched in his lifetime.~~

It will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. And although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that will help push away the pain and bring back the smiles again.

Miss me, but let me go...When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room. Why cry for a soul set free ?~~Miss me a little---but not too long and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love we once shared. Miss me--but let me go.~~For this is a journey that we must all take, and each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home.~~When you are lonely, and sick of heart, go to friends we know and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me--but let me go.

Adam D. Jones

Happy Birthday, Adam. You are missed so much every minute of everyday! XOXO ~143~ You will forever be in my heart and on my mind. Love always, Tammy

Laurie Cobb

She was my 3rd and 5th grade teacher. Today I'm 32 and still think about her. She was the best teacher ever. From her hair children stories to her bubbly happiness and kindness she spread. I'll never forget her. She was the teacher who had lunch with the kids in her classroom so everyone had someone to be with. She made my school experience amazing. I will never forget her.. I love you Mrs. Cobb. Sincerely, Forever in my thoughts, Alyssa (Viau) Capone

Larry E Polley Jr

SPC Polley died almost two decades ago so I don't know if this message will be seen. In honor of Memorial Day, my agency hands out cards with names of those who have fallen. This year, 2023, I received the card for SPC Polley and was inspired to look up more on him. I am thankful for his service and sacrifice. My condolences to his family. He is not forgotten.

Paul C. Holter III

Love you and miss you always. Since you been gone it has been hard for everyone. I know you loved what you did, and I want to thank you for our freedom. If I can have you back home and safe living your life man everything would be different. No matter how much money they would offer me I would rather have you alive and home. Money comes and go so it's not worth losing you.

I have never forgotten his sacrifice. I would like to share that the greatest memory I had of Chris is that he would speak highly of his mom and how much she meant to him. Chris was a strong minded person and looked out for other. He was kind and friendly the he made friends with everyone. Chris was truly a great man! I sincerely apologize for not sharing sooner. but would like to express that Chris's memory will never be forgotten! though he is not with us he will always be in spirit! If this message gets to Christopher's mother I she could know she raised a great man and for that I thank you.

James David Parker

I knew James David Parker as "Dave" when he lived in Solon Ohio. We met when I moved into town from out of state. He and his group of friends were a year or two older than me. Dave was a bright beacon of hope and joy to me. I was an unsure young man in a strange place. Dave introduced me to many people and ensured his friends always saved me a seat in the lunchroom. I have fond memories of him and his friends during that time. I doubt so many people would have been as wonderful toward me without Dave's incredible kindness. I've never forgotten his kindness. I hope to be able to pay it forward someday.

Tyler O. Griffin
