| How crazy is it that this would be our 7th wedding anniversary?! It doesn't feel like it's been that long. At the same time, it feels so like it's been ages.
This August, a month before the 7 year anniversary, I'm remarrying. I'm having a lot of guilt with this because I'm happy again. Happiest I've been since we got married and I didn't know that was possible.
I'll have you in my heart forever. FOREVER. I'm not replacing you but moving forward with this new chapter in life and the other gals that'll be there, we're remembering all of you guys. Please be with me and know that no matter what mistakes were made, because Lord knows there were plenty, that you're life was important and I will make sure that people will always know what an amazing man and HERO you are!
I hope you're at peace. I really do.

| What it do Denny? Been thinking a lot about you these past few weeks. Life hasn't been the same since u became one with God. My gosh bro grant looks just you crazy playing with him and elina being around them reminds me so much of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. | This is SGT Christopher Leon. I was good friends with Katie when she died. We were in the same unit together. I was out there with her when her convoy was attack, I was at my Iraqi Police Station conducting training when I heard the radio traffic come from one of their drivers sending the SITREP to our battle space owners. That radio transmission haunts me to this day and I still feel that my squad should have dont something about it. I miss Katie very much and wish that I could see her just one more time. She was a great person, friend and Soldier. I can only imagine what her parents must feel about their daughter. They raised a wonderful daughter who put other peoples need before her own and would bend over backwards for her friends and family. God has recruiter a wonderful Angel into his kingdom. I just only hope that she is watching over her family first and foremost and over us, the men an women who sacrifice their lives everyday will deployed to a combat zone.
