There are few in his mold, and we've lost a great man this day, and you've lost a father, uncle, grandfather, and so much more. So much loss for you over the years, so many good men gone. Ted was able to do his life's work and leave a legacy, like his brothers', to be proud of -- perhaps the greatest of all. Support each other in this sad time

He was a great man who did so much for this country and who was tireless in his efforts to do what he knew was right for the majority of us. He did for those who had the least, the least money, the least voice, the least influence. He did for us what very few others had the vision and the will to do. I will miss him and his country will miss him.

The Kennedy family has devoted their lives to the service of this country. We may not all agree but we must appreciate and respect our differences. That is what has made our country great. God bless the Kennedy family now and always.

BY Anonymous on Aug 27, 2009 | | | | I woke this morning, to hear of the passing of Sen. Ted Kennedy. Though I now live in Arizona,I grew up in Watertown Ma. and still call Massachusetts "home", and somehow, although I could not vote for him, still called Sen. Kennedy my senator. Philosophically and in my heart this was true. I am so saddened that he was unable to make it to witness health care reform being passed, but somehow his spirit will be there. My deepest sympathies for the Kennedy family.
