BY Anonymous on Jul 01, 2005 | | | | Just wanted to say that i work with Adam's aunt in Missouri. I didnt know him personally but I know her and work with her everyday.. She always told us stories about her family and her nephew. We felt like we knew him as well. It his us like a ton of bricks when we found out about Adam. We all thought the same thing... How sad. We are all truely sorry but just know that he is even remembered with people who didnt know him personally but shared his life through his aunt. WE are very proud of him for serving this country but deeply sad that things turned out the way it has. Today we read the clippings that she brought in and I have to say we shed some tears as well.. Had to walk way and read on my own. I am truely sorry. His aunt is a very nice person who is strong but it hurts my heart to see her eyes she is forever changed. Just know we care as well and we will keep his spirt alive. God bless you. C.White, Missouri.

They Don't Wear Purple Hearts In Heaven
I lost my brother to a foreign land;
I was too young to even understand
There was a knock at the front door,
then Momma wasn't smiling anymore.
The man at the door was a Marine;
the first I've ever seen.
Momma told me to go out and play,
then the preacher came
and they started to pray.
Tears ran down Momma's eyes,
and I heard her say, "Why, Lord, Why"?
Father stood there seemingly mindless,
all he said was, "We've lost another of
America's finest."
The Marine handed Momma a small velvet case,
inside was a Purple Ribbon, attached to a
gold heart with Washington's face.
I asked Momma if it were mine,
but she said, "It's your brother's, Sunshine."
"Momma can we send it to Kevin?"
She answered, "They don't wear Purple Hearts in Heaven."

for we are few among many, who stand tall till the end. But we are many among few...who pass with HONOR to meet again.
I could only hope that all my fallen brethren were remembered in that was fitting. And not here ...for this is one of the many places that houses the same that has caused so many to fall.
