Dedicated in memory of Spc. Quinton with his family in mind......The agony is so great....and yet I stand it. Had I not loved so very much, I would not hurt so much. But goodness knows , I would not want to diminish that precious love by one fraction of an ounce. I will hurt, and I will be grateful to take the hurt, for it bears witness to the depth of our meanings, and for that I will be eternally grateful.----May GOD be with you always-----Mark Regenauer, Age:13, Shelbyville, Ky.

Remember me in your hearts, in your thoughts, and the memories of the times we loved, the times we cried, and the times we laughed, for if you always think of me, I will never be gone.

To some I may be nothing more than a distant memory. My life on earth is over now, but do you remember me ? I know I left without warning but GOD's work for me was through. Please do not try to stop the thoughts of me, because I never will of you. Some may hear or speak my name and vanish the thoughts of me, why is it now that I am gone, no one stops to see? I am closer to you now than I ever was before. I love you all and will for ever more. So please don't let my memories slowly fade away....for I'm still inside your heart you see, where I will always stay.Don't think of me as gone forever because we'll meet again. Keep me close inside your heart until GOD tells you when. You may be there for many years, no one ever knows, so let my memory stay alive as the love inside you grows.

A life well-lived doesn't end any more than the music ends, it echoes through time with whispers of beauty and grace. If we listen, we can hear the encore with our hearts, for the song plays on, just as love lives on. Just remember that grief cannot take awy the happiness you shared, that sorrow will fade in time, but love remains forever.----Margaret Collins, Louisville, Ky.

Empty Boots----Dog tags hang over boots laced up, a bayonet stabs the ground. Kevlar perched on a 16 butt, fellow soldiers gather around.----Warriors in their battle gear, weapons at their side. bow their head as words are said, to honor the one who died.----An American Hero gave his life defending liberty. The price he paid was gladly done, for counrty and family.----Those empty boots do not support a body or soul. No more they'll run for cover or some loved one dear to hold.----As one by one, soldiers pass, this tribute to their own. Thoughts fly to their families across the foam.----Now salute, as TAPS is played, blink tears out of your eyes. The ache you feel inside your heart is Freedom's painful price.---Thank you Mr. Quinton for defending America and Freedom.----May you rest peacefully and to your family may GOD BLESS.----Kyle Richmond WWII Vet from Kentucky

Eagles....To bring down evil, some must fall. To fight for right, some answer the call.----To help the oppressed, some give up their time, their homes, their loves, they're eagles not doves.----To keep peace for those in need, some go into wars of just we read.----To keep us safe, it's soldiers we call. They wil all give some and some will give all.---- Thank You, Spc. Bryan Quinton for giving your all to keep America Free. I just wish you didn't have to die, in order to protect people like me.---GOD BLESS----Bob Mattingly WWII Vet. Louisville, Ky.

Blue C. Rowe

I am the Chaplain, along with 1SG Obalabi, who made this notification. This was my fifth death notification in 2009. I remembered this one like it was yesterday, and I routinely think about 1SG Rowe’s wife and their son, who was seven at the time. This notification stands out to me because we had to come back to the house a few times because no one was home. We finally saw a light on around 2130, and I and 1SG O went to the door and knocked. 1SG Rowe’s wife answered the door, and it was clear that his wife was not registering why we were there. She did invite us, and we sat down at the table, and ISG O made the notification. 1SG Rowe’s wife said, "Are you sure?" She asked that question five times, and I finally said, " Ma’am, we would not be here if we were not sure. Her response to us was, I just spoke to him a couple of days ago, and he was supposed to come home next week. She immediately got up from the table, called her dad, and notified him. She collapsed to the floor and was crying. The 1SG and I just stood there. We were there for a while, and I remembered that when she asked me to pray, I had to pause a few times to keep from losing it. Cindy, I thought about your husband through the years, and I often wondered how you and your son are doing. I have often prayed for you and your family. And I thank your husband for his sacrifice to our country. I do hope you see this, and I will continue to pray for you and your family. God Bless You Chaplain Will Strong Jr. US Army Retired Romans 8:37

Philip A. Murphy-Sweet

Phil worked for me when he volunteered to deploy to Iraq with the Joint Contracting Command. He was a great officer, a great friend and an incredible husband/father. He was just a couple of days away from returning from his deployment. I received an email from him on 5 April requesting to stay a bit longer so he could finish the job started. I had not yet responded to his email when I was notified by our Commanding Office on Easter morning that Phil had been killed. Miss you Phil!

David A Wilkey Jr

A good young man. My son's best friend.

Jose Ricardo Flores-Mejia

It's been 20 years since your passing... However, I never forgotten the day you told me I am married, I am going to have a baby, and day your son was born... You touched some many lives in different ways in your brief time on this earth in ways others can't imagine... Some people can be given a life time on this earth and accomplish nothing, and there are some people who are given a short time and accomplish so much... You Mr. Flores-Mejia aka Ricky was that person and soldier who accomplish so much in your shoft tme... As I see the days pass by, and the war seems to be a distant memory, your memory is still alive in my life, and still on this and like other days with my grandchildren I sit back like we did many times and listen to those West Coast oldies... "Never Forgotten"

Frank E. Adamski III

To the family of Frank Adamski, including his wife and daughter, my sincere condolences. I plan to make sure he is never forgotten.
