Your two little girls sleep with a stuffed figure of you every night. Your oldest girl still cries off and on because you have been gone so long. We try to lighten the load by telling the very funny things you did while here on earth and we talk about how brave you were, both here and overseas. You are loved forever and will never be fortotten. I just can't tell you how you are missed. I came to Alaska because you wanted us to move up here. Dear Grandson, we made it here but you did not. Still, your very presence is in almost everything we see and do here because you loved it here so much. We all wish you could have made it home. My big regret is that we could not help you get back here. If we could only hug you once again. We will have to make due with your love at the end of each e-mail, which you never failed to send.
