| O God, by whose mercy the faithful departed find rest, look kindly on Your departed veteran who gave his life in the service of his country. Grant that through the passion, death, and resurrection of Your Son he may share in the joy of Your heavenly kingdom and rejoice in You with Your saints forever.
I ask this through Christ our Lord.
He has proudly served his country.

| This kinda hit us all, I can still remember the day that I was told by my commanding officer that we had lost someone over in Iraq, but when we were told of the circumstances of what had happened the only thing that I could think about was the family, his wife and kids, that he had left behind, my heart goes out to any family that has lost someone due to this war, whether it be mentally or physically, I understand the sacrifices that the family faces sending your loved ones over..... I recently just sent my husband over and I don't know what I would do with myself, my wishes and prayers go out to the family......
